Apparently quite often according to Allstate. Really like these spots for their brilliant positioning as they create that fear an insurance company would want you to have. They make it “make sense” why you would want to pay more for a premium insurance company with the vast number of examples of “mayhem”. And instill into the viewer that it can indeed strike anytime, anywhere. They also make them feel/relate as if at least one of them could most certainly happen to them. Love their latest raccoon one I’ve posted..hilarious

There’s interactive, then there’s interacting. And it’s not even a website but a youtube video that Skittles and BBDO Toronto request your fingers to get physically get involved with in their weird, but famed way. Besides getting a little natural skin oil on your computer, screen you’ll get a chance to stop a robbery, go to war and even satisfy the taste buds of a furry feline. All with one simple touch. If that’s not reason enough, I don’t know what is.

That’s one way to describe this truly jawdropping, freakishly awesome show by Hot Wheels and Muse Amsterdam, projected on the Custom house in Sydney. 3D projection mapping has become a new, fascinating form of guerilla advertising which basically features a projected show on a building making it appear to be part of the show by blowing up, falling apart and much more. These effects plus the heightened audio give the viewer a sense of reality, even though the show is obviously created for amusement.
Here’s a simpler version of the concept developed by Take 2 in Kansas City featured during Halloween at a First Friday art gallery event which actually tends to freak a few people out. Enjoy.

It’s simple, if you wouldn’t drink and drive, would you let someone else? Especially if it’s your own car? Great ad here by Ogilvy Brazil and Bar Aurora & Boteco Ferraz who hired a valet driver at a restaurant/night club and instructed him to act drunk. Seemed no one would let him near the wheel while giving them a subtle reminder to themselves about watching their own booze intake. Not bad.

No time to check in, update your status or request a friend? Students at Swedish agency Hyper Island might have an answer for that with their new concept for the shoe brand WeSC. The idea is to place an RFID (radio frequency identification) tag in a shoe which can be placed on a reader (such as a mat) to update the wearer’s Facebook or Twitter status. It could also get them special entry to an event, free stuff or they could even make a Facebook friend request, if they stand on the mat with a new friend. Not bad, but it sure would be hard to ignore a request when they’re standing right in front of you.
